WADENA, Minn. — Homecrest has named Tim DeJong as vice president of operations, a newly created position.
DeJong will be responsible for overall quality, engineering, manufacturing, and product development at Homecrest. He was most recently with Polaris Industries Inc. as general manager of the Utility Vehicle Division.
“We are placing increased emphasis on our entire production process and focusing on best practices to help streamline our operations,†said John Sundet, president and CEO of Homecrest. “Tim has a tremendous background in manufacturing, logistics and IT that is a great match for Homecrest and our plans for growth.â€
During his 15-year career with Polaris, DeJong held positions as plant director, director of North American manufacturing and logistics and corporate supply chain director. He led the implementation of total quality systems, supply chain processes, and a complete remodeling of the organization’s largest manufacturing facility. He has also worked as an independent consultant and as a systems manager for Lear Sigler, Inc. (Wil-Rich) and Dynamic Industries, Inc.
