LONDON – Clear Channel Outdoor UK has won a 24-year contract to supply and maintain 650 ad panels on bus shelters in the city of Portsmouth.
Through its Adshel brand, the outdoor specialist has held the Portsmouth contract for the last 25 years and won the business as part of a pitch process against other outdoor companies including JCDecaux.
Barry Sayer, chief executive of Clear Channel Outdoor UK, said: “We are delighted to retain the Portsmouth contract and look forward to building on our successful working relationship with the municipality as it continues its major transformation programme.
“Portsmouth City Council’s confidence in retaining Clear Channel Outdoor reflects our commitment to gold standard quality and service levels and also our mission to continuously develop our products in partnership with councils, local authorities and wider communities.”
Clear Channel’s Adshel now holds more than 350 municipal contracts in the UK including the largest street furniture advertising contract, worth an estimated £250m. That 10-year contract is for bus shelters across London.
