HIGH POINT — Home textiles specialist JLA Home has entered into a licensing arrangement with designer and television personality Candice Olson.  


JLA Home will develop a Candice Olson-brand product line including top-of-bed products, pillows, window treatments and home textiles that will be sold through store, catalog and Internet vendors.

The collection will combine contemporary and classic design with traditional motifs accented by signature finishing treatments such as beading, feathers and faux fur, which Olson calls “classic with a twist.

“These are designs that I’ve loved for years,” she said. “I’ve learned it’s this recognition and comfort with the familiar that takes away the fear factor for many people decorating their homes. These ensembles are all about my eclectic sensibility. I like a room that has evolved over the years as if a designer hasn’t been there — as though I haven’t made the selection.”

Olson is the host of “Divine Design,” a TV show in its fifth season on HGTV in the United States and on Canada’s W Network.

Other Candice Olson licensees include Norwalk Furniture, Kravet Fabrics, AF Lighting, Hellenic Rugs and York Wallcoverings.

JLA Home, a division of Chinese company E&E Co. Ltd., is exhibiting during Showtime here this week on the sixth floor of the Market Square Textile Tower.
