A furniture factory in Epping Industria in Cape Town has

been destroyed in a fire. A fire department spokesperson says about 75% of the building was damaged and most of the furniture destroyed.

The fire was reported at midnight and at one stage seven fire tenders were at the scene. The spokesperson says the fire has been completely extinguished.

An inspector will visit the site today to try to determine the cause of the fire.
