ATLANTAÂ — AmericasMart Atlanta is seeking entries for
America’s Magnificent Carpets Awards, the industry’s highest honor for rug introductions.
The awards will be presented Saturday, Jan. 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Marquis during the Atlanta International Area Rug Market, Jan. 18-21. All marketgoers are invited to attend the awards gala, sponsored by Architectural Digest magazine.
All entries will be featured in AmericasMart’s MOI: The Museum of Introductions during the rug market.
New rugs from importers and manufacturers are categorized by retail price point and whether they are machine or hand made. Unidentified judges representing designers, major retailers and/or museum curators make choices in each category.
Awards are based on quality of construction, value, design and salability, and entries are not identified by company. In addition to the jury awards, a “people’s choice” award will be presented, based on votes cast by retailers visiting the Museum of Introductions.
