A DRIFFIELD charity shop is to enjoy its first day in a new location tomorrow when it celebrates its official reopening.
The Sue Ryder Care charity shop, which was situated on Market Place, Driffield, is to begin trading from Middle Street South and is branching out into furniture sales.
The former Heron Frozen Foods site has been refurbished and manager Judith Goodbody hopes new people will be attracted to support the shop.
She said: “Customers know about the exceptional
quality and value of the clothes and bric-a-brac in our shop.
“The new shop will be better than ever and includes a new furniture section.â€
More volunteers are needed to keep the shop tick over and Judith said she is looking for anyone who can spare a little time to help out with all aspects of running the charity shop.
She said: “We would love to hear from anyone interested in volunteering whether they can spare a couple of hours a month or a full day once a week.â€
Interested volunteers are invited to visit the shop for an informal chat.
Sue Ryder Care would also like to issue an appeal for donations for stock in the new shop, especially of good quality furniture. They will accept donations at the new location.
The official reopening is to take place at Middle Street South at 10am on Thursday April 26.
