SAN JOSE, Calif. —
Five people busted a furniture store employee’s head with a small black baton as he was working late in San Jose Wednesday evening, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office reported Thursday.

The suspects entered the New Furniture Outlet store on Stevens Creek Boulevard around 7 p.m., Santa Clara County sheriff’s Deputy Serg Palanov said.

The victim was transported to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center where he received about 20 stitches.

The suspects remain at large.
