Cleveland Furniture Store Customers To Get $325,000

Kronheims furniture store customers who never got the furniture they paid for or were denied refunds on broken furniture will get their money back, NewsChannel5 reported.

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office sued Kronheims and the furniture

chain’s liquidation company. Jim Petro’s office received hundreds of complaints against the store chain last year.

Customers claimed the store failed to deliver furniture it sold and refused to provide refunds for furniture not received.

According to investigators with Petro’s office, the store advertised a distress sale in January 2012, which misled consumers and violated state law by not mentioning the sale’s start and end dates.

As part of a settlement, $325,000 will be paid to the customers.
