JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Cory Home Delivery, a key home delivery provider for furniture, appliance and electronics retailers, is restructuring senior
management as the Cory family’s third generation assumes control of day-to-day operations.
Brothers Joe and Jim Cory will remain CEO and president, respectively, but the company said Joe Cory Jr., Kevin Cory and Patrick Cory are taking on larger management roles.
Joe Cory Jr., who has been with the company for 22 years, is now vice president of marketing, and will share the chief operating officer duties with his cousin Kevin Cory, who has been with the company for four years.
Patrick Cory, who rejoined the delivery service seven years ago, is now vice president of strategic planning and will oversee all sales functions.
“This represents the first step in our formal plan to transition the company to the next generation of family leadership,†said Joe Cory. “Jim and I will remain actively involved in the business and guide Joe Jr., Kevin and Patrick in their new responsibilities.â€
The company, founded in 1934 by Joe and Jim’s father, Joseph Cory, maintains a fleet of more than 500 customized delivery vehicles and operates in more than 60 locations across the United States and in Puerto Rico.
