Tests marketed upscale designs of outdoor lighting concepts to the specialty, mass merchant markets
Suntyme Casual Living Products unveiled its Arlington Road outdoor lighting products division on June 1, Product Manager Jacqueline Kiernan said.
As a third-generation family operated supplier of outdoor fashion design furniture and accessories (formerly Doppelt Industries, Inc. of Brooklyn, New York), Suntyme has test marketed upscale designs of outdoor lighting concepts to the specialty and mass merchant markets for the past few years.
Due to the positive market response of Suntyme’s patented award-winning designs, a direct bridge between the outdoor furniture and lighting industries was just cause for Suntyme to create a division that solely addresses the sales potential of “proprietary” lighting designs to both industries.
Jerry Doppelt, president and CEO of Suntyme Casual Living Products, recognized an opportunity to promote outdoor lighting to the general lighting industry. He said he felt that because there are few outdoor furniture specialty retailers who have benefited from outdoor lighting accessories in a viable way (and lieu of the market saturation and excessive retail floor space cost of outdoor furniture collections), that the new “Arlington Road” product line will provide viable profits to retailers, while supporting the overhead and competitive costs of merchandising outdoor furniture.
