Cooper will leave Hooker’s board June 30

MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Robert M. “Mac” Cooper will resign from Hooker Furniture’s board June 30 to focus attention on growing business and

family demands, the case goods and upholstery maker and importer said.

Hooker said a committee of its board is searching for a new director.
“While we certainly understand Mac’s decision, we are saddened at the departure of such an engaged young leader from our board,” said Paul Toms Jr., Hooker chairman and CEO. “In his tenure, Mac has provided additional insight to the board and to the committees on which he has served. He will be missed.”
