High Point, NC — The world of celebrity endorsed furniture is growing.
Donald Trump is counting on Lexington Home Brands and the High Point Market to make a splash with his new collection.
He launched the new line with Lexington Home Brands company executives Tuesday afternoon.
Trump drew a crowd of market goers at the company’s corporate headquarters in Thomasville.
He also spoke to them about his partnership with the furniture manufacturer.
Trump says it started two years ago.
And he says together they’ve designed affordably priced pieces of furniture.
It’s called “Trump Home”.
The two lines of the collection are inspired from his favorite New York areas of Westchester and Central Park.
Paul Burrell is Princess Diana’s former butler.
He’s also at the High Point Market this week introducing his 60-piece collection with Highland House.
It’s called Royal Manner.
Burrell says the designs are inspired from his time with the Royal Family.
Industry analysts say a survey of buyers shows the trend of celebrity lines of furniture is only growing.
Jackie Hirschhaut is with American Home Furnishings Alliance.
“At the same time, some of the famous collections are being expanded continually. In fact, in October we know that Martha Stewart is coming back with a new collection. So, I think that this shows no sign of slowing down.”
And even the celebrities themselves are buying their own lines of furniture.
Donald Trump says he has plans for his line of furniture to go into hotels that he’s building.
